UltraVIEW system move and service at the University of Cambridge.
Atlantic Imaging were recently requested to move and service an early PerkinElmer UltraVIEW system, based on an Olympus IX81 and Yokogawa CSU-X1 head. The system was housed in an unsuitable lab space and had several age- and performance-related problems. We moved the system to a recently refurbished confocal suite (including Melles Griot AV table), deep cleaned the entire system and brought the illumination up to optimal performance by aligning and calibrating the older MLS1 laser engine. We will be providing a tailored training course for the users of this microscope in the near future and installing windows 10 OS.
